About Amy Sue Morrow

Born in Los Angeles, the first daughter of Dennis and Barbara, Amy was a wild child. Always into something, she was definitely a handful for her parents, especially after Julie was born: another soul to torment. (Julie has since grown larger and is studying Shotokan). Amy sells Mary Kay.

At the ripe age of four or five, Amy practices to be a bride with the help of her Aunt Nancy

At the ripe age of 6, Amy moved with her family to Acton (California). [The LA home was not going to be able to contain the two of them, her parents, and her brother-to-be, Edward (a rough and tumble 9 pounds 1 ounce at birth).] Amy has always been an overachiever, managing to nearly cause herself an ulcer in 4th grade. Although always in trouble at home for one thing or another, she managed to constantly dupe her teachers, excelling in the scholastic environment. She won best of show in 2 science fairs, and culminated her elementary school experience with the science award.

In junior high, Amy's abilities in mathematics really came out under the guidance of her Algebra instructor, guaranteeing her a life with few friends. Finishing junior high as valedictorian only marked the beginning. In high school, Amy was able to expand her education through trips with the Spanish Club to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Spain.

Amy was also an active member of Girl Scouts, from Brownies until she graduated from high school. Athletically, she pursued life as a gymnast until her senior year in high school, when she served a year on the Dance Team. Amy has been a pianist for the last 16 years of her life, excepting the last two (she dusts her keyboard frequently, though). She is now taking violin lessons (as time and mood permit) as it has potential as a more mobile instrument.

Having completed her undergrad at UC Berkeley, Amy obtained a Masters degree in pure mathematics from San Francisco State University. Her current interests include game theory and dynamical systems. She is currently pursuing a career in education.

Her persistence in all things comes through even to her television usage, where she nary misses a Thursday night NBC line up ("Must see tee-vee"), and has even conspired to catch up on every episode of The Nanny.
